Summary: Monterey Peninsula Country Club is located in Monterey, California along legendary "17 mile drive", widley recognized as one of the most beautiful drives in the world. MPCC is a par 72, 6,873 yard course that was originally designed by Robert Baldock in 1960 and redesigned in 2003 by Mike Strantz. MPCC Shore Course is ranked #67 according to Golf Digest's Greatest Golf Courses. MPCC Shore Course is one of three host courses for the PGA Tour's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Neighbor public course Pebble Beach receives much more notoriety, but MPCC Shore Course is in much better condition because they aren't booked with four players every 10 minutes from sun-up to sun-down like Pebble Beach is. I haven't been to Cypress Point yet, but MPCC Shore is one of the best courses in California. Don't miss it if you have the chance to play it.
