Summary: Park Meadows is a beautiful country club located in Park City, Utah. Their claim to fame that they promote is that they are the only private club located within actual Park City. Park Meadows was designed by Jack Nicklaus and back in the 90’s it hosted a PGA Champions Tour event from 1993 to 2003. Back then it was known as the Senior Tour. The last time I had seen this course before I played it in 2015 was when I watched Jack Nicklaus play in the Senior Tour event sometime in the 1990’s. The course seemed just average to me then, but it appears that there have been noteworthy improvements as far as conditioning is concerned. It seemed like there was not a blade of grass out of place when I played it and the layout is fun with a variety of holes. One of the best parts of playing Park Meadows is enjoying the views of the impressive mountains nearby. There are several world-class ski resorts not more than a couple of par 5’s away from Park Meadows. You might even see PGA Tour star, Jimmy Walker playing Park Meadows from time-to-time. His wife, Erin’s parents have a home in Park City and apparently Jimmy Walker has been seen at Park Meadows from time-to-time. Overall, Park Meadows is an excellent golf course and is one of the most immaculately cared for courses in the state of Utah.
Favorite Hole: #15, 548 yard par 5.#15 was my favorite hole because Nicklaus designed the hole to give players a couple of different options. The hole is somewhat of a dogleg right and about 260 yards from the back tees is a fairway out on its own little island to the right of the regular fairway. If you want to try and cut off a little distance so your second shot is shorter, you can try for the 260 yard carry off the tee to shoot for this makeshift island. I think I was slightly down wind on this tee shot so I gave it a rip and I luckily made it. Give it a try when you play here - you have nothing to lose but it's a fun tee shot to try.
